Bengaluru: Students should not limit their ambitions to becoming only engineers or doctors. If they work hard, there are many opportunities available according to their interests and talents. Immense success can be achieved in hundreds of fields, including cinema, television, YouTube, media, sports, and entrepreneurship. Success in any field can be achieved only through hard work, said Sangamesh Upase, a noted actor, director, writer, and KAS officer. He was speaking at the ‘Smrti Connect with Achievers’ program held at Smrti Academy CBSE School in Huskur, near Electronic City, on Saturday.
“Students can become KAS and IAS officers, but for that, they must study hard. Those who study for eight hours a day should be prepared to study for sixteen hours. If you study with dedication, you can make your KAS or IAS dream come true. No matter what your circumstances are, if you study with courage, dedication, self-confidence, and hard work, success will follow.
Like many of you, I did not have facilities when I was young. I come from an ordinary rural farming family. I did not even have enough clothes to wear during my childhood. I had to walk more than fifteen kilometers to attend school. I studied while working in hotels and restaurants. At the same time, I developed an interest in drama, art, and literature. All these experiences shaped my personality,” he said.
He added that, along with academics, children should actively participate in extracurricular activities and cultivate good values. They should have clear goals in life and follow the guidance of their teachers sincerely. He also emphasized the importance of respecting parents and elders. During the interaction, he answered several questions asked by curious students.
Students and parents of Smrti Academy participated in the program. Principal Dr. Amuda C. Muniraj, Co-founder Ravi Ramachandra, and Coordinator Meghala Devi Balamurugan were also present.
